Growing up with an agricultural background, Ian has been growing vegetables all his life. His professional career centred on Design, working as a teacher, lecturer and running his own business. Since retiring to Bridport in 2013, he has been actively involved in community life, including serving as a town councillor from 2019, a role that saw him become mayor for three years and leader for two. He has been part of BFM's development for a number of years and has watched it grow steadily into the organisation it is today. With his background in design, experience as a trustee with other organisations, and a lifelong passion for growing and eating quality food, he is keen to continue contributing to BFM as it takes its next exciting steps forward.
