Bridport Food Matters is a Charitable Community Benefit Society - a dynamic local food network. Our Mission is to raise awareness, connect, support, and inspire our community to grow, cook, eat and share good food.

Reflecting our values of inclusivity and sustainability, we make good food widely accessible through fun local events, skills workshops, and collaborative projects. We champion local food production by strengthening the connections between consumers, producers and businesses in the Bridport area.

Charitable Community Benefit Society

A Charitable Community Benefit Society (CCBS) is a cooperative legal structure that puts community benefit above financial gain. Unlike traditional business models, any surplus we generate will be reinvested directly into our work for the community. This ensures that local people retain ownership and control over important community assets and resources. Read our charitable Objectives and Benefits, and our Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Registration details including our BFM CBS Registration of New Society Rules.

We are regulated by the FCA, and operate under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014. Bridport Food Matters Charity reference is ZD36736.
