Karen Bayley
Partnerships
An Occupational Therapist by background, Kar brings a wealth of experience in collaborative, community-led working to the BFM Board. She has worked as a Volunteer Manager building relationships with local groups and councils, established a social enterprise delivering wellbeing sessions to people in isolated rural areas, and helped set up a sickle cell charitable organisation in Zambia — going beyond treatment to encompass community education, informed choice and policy advocacy. These experiences have shaped her deep belief that real change happens when communities are empowered and their voices are heard. Drawn to BFM's vision of belonging, purpose and wellbeing through food and community, she is excited to help strengthen partnerships and support BFM in growing as a connected, sustainable and inclusive organisation.
