Sheri Ahmet is an Operating Theatre Nurse Practitioner, now working part time alongside surgeons. Gardening has been a lifelong passion, with fond childhood memories of helping her father grow vegetables.

Her interest was rekindled during the lockdown, when she joined Bradpole Buzzers, a local community group dedicated to brightening up Bradpole village, where she lives with her husband Aydin. As her family grew, so did her ambition to provide fresh, seasonal, organic vegetables, and she has been tending her own allotment for the past four years.

Sheri's desire to help others grow their own food led her to Rachel Millson and Bridport Food Matters, and together they created the Edible Bridport project — establishing vegetable beds around the town to provide free food for everyone in the community.
