Candida Dunford Wood
Communications, Fundraising, Partnerships
Candida spent most of her professional life as a programme manager working on community development for international charities and national initiatives. Her work has always been rooted in bringing people and organisations together around shared goals — coordinating Communities Living Sustainably in Dorset, running the Jurassic Coast Earth Festival and founding Turn Lyme Green are just some examples of her commitment to building sustainable, community-led change locally. She also co-manages the family farm on which
She grew up on a farm, giving her a hands-on, lifelong connection to land and local food production. Passionate about food skills, community resilience and a stronger local economy, she is thrilled to be bringing all of this experience to BFM and the shared work of building a sustainable food system for Bridport.
Candida was BFM’s CEO for four years, successfully raising funds, registering BFM as a Charitable Community Benefit Society and leading the bid for Bridport to be a Sustainable Food Place.
